Terms of Service

 

We do our best to run a family friendly nightclub with an emphais on the cultural and health benefits of dance. We operate on a system of integrity and a respectful interaction between all, and do our best to make sure every student leaves satisfied with their experience, and that each of our patrons finds a safe, fun, affordable and professional environment. We outline the following terms to limit our liability. If you find at any time that anything with respect to our classes, dances or environment needs attention, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will do our best to rectify the situation.

REFUNDS - Refunds are offered only if we cancel a class for lack of attendance (historically, this has never happened). You may transfer your registration to another month if you are ill or unable to attend. Only whole registrations may be transferred.

PAYMENTS - While we generally have spots available for walk-ins; prices, discounts and incentives such as CDs, or review materials are not guaranteed without pre-payment. In other words, any discounts or promotions, or class space we offer online are not guaranteed if payment is not received 24 hours before the first class. Payment must be made either in advance, or on the first day of class.

WAIVER - I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and their respective assigns waive and release any and all rights for damage I might have against the Mercury Café, Tiffiny Wine, 23 Skidoo, any teacher, promotional services and agents, for any and all injuries and damages which may be suffered by me in participation in the classes, or injuries that may result at a later date from said participation.

I understand that risk is inherent in all activities, and dancing can present an especially high degree of risk. I agree :

- To abide by the instructions given by the instructors to the best of my ability.
- To not distract others or be disruptive in such a manner that may increase the risk of injury for others.
- To cease participation, should I be experiencing any physical pain.
- To cease participation if I feel that the material being presented is too difficult for my current skill level.
- To use spotters and ask for help where appropriate
- That I have no pre-existing physical conditions that may significantly increase my risk of injury

SMOKING - Is not allowed at any class or anywhere in the building.

LOSS - We are not liable for any loss of belongings. We have a lost and found which is periodically donated to charity.

TRANSFER - Registrations are not transferable to other people.

CREDIT CARDS - We accept credit cards online, but cannot accept them at classes or dance events. Cash or Check are both fine payment methods.

VIDEO / STILL PHOTOGRAPHY - I understand that the Mercury Cafe may, for promotional purposes, record my participation in the competitions/ events/ workshops on videotape and in photographs. I grant the Mercury Cafe and Tiffiny Wine the unlimited right and authority to use any such recordings in any media in any way with no obligation to me.

Use of Video equipment during classes is strictly prohibited.
